What to prepare before speaking with an insurance agency
You don't need a folder full of documents to start, but a few things make the conversation smoother: who will be on the policy conversation (drivers, for auto), basic vehicle information (VIN or plate), and a sense of how vehicles are used.
For business conversations: what the company does day to day, roughly how many people work there, and how vehicles or equipment are involved.
Most importantly, bring your questions. A good agency conversation is a two-way street, the goal is for you to leave understanding your options, not just to hand over information.
